Stacy W. Maddern began teaching as UCS in 2014. He has previously taught at New York University, the University of Hartford, Central Connecticut State University and Asnuntuck Community College. His scholarly interests include urban and community theory, social movements and change, and the history of education.

Community Development, Social Capital, Organizational Theory, Urban Politics and Power Dynamics, Community Theory, Urban Semiotics and Civic Participation.
